The Tale of Two Doves and a Turtle

Once upon a time, there were two beautiful doves who lived near a pond. As the water in the pond began to dry up, they decided it was time to move on. Their friend, a turtle, was heartbroken at the thought of being left behind and pleaded with the doves to take her along.

The doves, knowing the turtle couldn't fly, initially refused. However, moved by the turtle's tears and persistent begging, they brainstormed a solution. They found a sturdy stick and devised a plan: each dove would hold one end of the stick in its beak, while the turtle would clench the middle with her mouth.

Before taking flight, the doves sternly warned the turtle, "Whatever happens, don't open your mouth, or you'll fall."

The turtle eagerly agreed, and soon they were soaring over the forest. Their unusual formation caught the attention of people below, who marveled at the sight: "Look! Two doves carrying a turtle through the air!"

Unable to resist responding to the commotion, the turtle forgot the doves' warning. She opened her mouth to retort, "Mind your own business!" Instantly, she lost her grip on the stick and plummeted to the ground, injuring herself in the fall.

As she lay there, nursing her broken ribs and wounded pride, the turtle ruefully reflected, "This is what happens when you talk too much and break your promises."

This tale serves as a reminder of the importance of keeping one's word and thinking before speaking.
